YMCA Website Sign-Up Instructions

So you're trying to sign up for a YMCA trip (probably Yucaipa), but the website is... less than intuitive? You're not alone. Here's a step-by-step guide to get you through it without screaming into the void.

We’ll walk you through:

  • Setting up your family
  • Avoiding the “missing requirements” error
  • Adding everything to your cart the right way

✅ Step 1: Log In (or Create an Account)

Just go to this link:

You’ll be prompted to log in from pretty much any page on the site, so we won’t dwell here. Let’s get to the confusing stuff.


👨‍👩‍👧 Step 2: Add Your Family Members First

Before you register anyone for anything, you must add your child(ren) and any other participating adults (like yourself) to your family account.

  1. Go to your account and open Family Members:
    🔗 Manage Family Members
  2. Click “Add Family Member” for each participant:
  • Use your own email and phone number if your child doesn't have one.
  • Make sure to add all kids and adults who will participate before registering.

Pro tip: You’ll need to check out with everyone at once to get the multi-person discount (3+ participants)

You should end up with something like this:

🛒 Step 3: Add the Voyagers Program FIRST

⚠️ If you skip this step and try to register for a trip (like Yucaipa) first, you'll get the dreaded:

> "The child care/day camp or activity that you are trying to register for requires certain qualifications..."

Translation: You didn’t add the Voyagers program.

Add the Voyagers Program (One Time Per Person, Per Year)

  1. Open the Voyagers Program registration:

  2. Add yourself:
  • Participant dropdown: Your name
  • Team dropdown: Your Circle name
  • Click Add to Cart
  • 👉 Do NOT check out yet. Do NOT fill out waivers yet.
    Why? Because if you do, you'll have to do it 4–6 more times. Instead, we’re building one glorious, complete cart.
  1. Now do the same for your child(ren). Use the same link, or click the item in your cart and choose "Team Registration":
  • Select each child
  • Choose your Circle
  • Click Add to Cart

At this point, your cart should look something like this:

🏕️ Step 4: Add the Trip (Like Yucaipa)

Once everyone is registered for the Voyagers Program, then you can safely add the trip.

  1. Open the Yucaipa activity page:
    🔗 Yucaipa Trip
  2. Add yourself:
  • Participant: Your name
  • Team: Your Circle name
  • You’ll be asked to enter your Circle name again in the box. (Yes, twice. Just smile and type.)
  1. Do the same for your child(ren):
  • Same steps: select their name, select your Circle, and add to cart

Repeat for any other participating family members.

At this point, your cart should look like this:

🖊️ Step 5: Check Out (Finally!)

Now that everything is in your cart:

  1. Fill out all the waiver info:
  • Check all the boxes
  • Add your initials
  • Sign the waivers (awkward drawing with your mouse or finger)
  1. Click Check Out

If you’ve made it this far without rage-quitting or throwing your laptop, congratulations! You’re officially registered—and better yet, you've beaten the system (or at least survived it).
